Adoption.
Adoption is a legal process in which someone can acquire the rights of a child and incur the responsibilities of a parent.
Alimony.
This is the financial support or a monetary value that one spouse may receive from the other in the presence of a divorce.
Child Support.
In the circumstance of custody or divorce, Child Support refers to the financial contribution legally owed by one parent or guardian to cover expenses incurred for the children.
Civil Litigation.
Civil Litigation deals with non-criminal matters in a court of law, in order to dispute a non-criminal legal case. Plaintiff’s often seek compensation and or damages from defendants.
Custody.
The protective care and guardianship, as it pertains to children during the process of a divorce. Depending on the circumstances, there can be an option of joint or sole custody.
Divorce.
The dissolution of a marriage is often a difficult and strenuous process that requires experienced and competent legal representation in order to discuss further litigation.
Equitable Distribution.
Divorce is often proceeded by the division of assets, property rights and obligations between two spouses. While this can normally be agreed upon through a settlement, it can be based on a judicial decree.
Modification of Existing Orders
Modifications can only occur if the following is proven: there has been a change in circumstances, relating to custody and that the modification is in the best interest of the child. Common modifications include: custody, visitation, alimony, and child support.
SIJS Custody.
Special Immigrant Juvenile Status or SIJS is a way in which minors can gain Lawful Permanent Residency (a Green Card),regardless of unauthorized or unlawful entry.
